On Sunday 21st July we held our 4th Annual Allotments Open Day. This year’s renewal proved to be the most successful yet with our members providing fruit, vegetables and flowers together with jams and pickles. We also had many cakes and pastries donated. Our members also gave books, DVDs, jigsaws, etc and the community police officer stand was both popular with children and adults alike as was plot holder Bob Currivans vintage car. Our very generous visitors donated £1,225.12. We share this money with Katharine House Hospice, so with monies already collected this year, we were able to present them with a cheque for £741.60.
